That made it a two hand operation to get them on. I stuffed them with paper towels to shape the uppers and put them in the sun. When they cooled the uppers stood up by themselves making them a no hand operation to get on.The heel is hollowed out and suction-cups itself to any smooth floor at every step. I drilled a 3/16" hole through the web between the heel and the arch on the bottom of the sandals. No more suction cup effect. Other than those two minor problems - they are great, comfortable sandals! My sandals are still going strong 18 months later and they get worn every day.
